Turn Your Headshot Into a LinkedIn Banner in Under 6 Minutes
What do you do when you love your headshot and want to use it in more than one place? You put it to work.
A client asked me recently how else she could be using hers. I suggested her LinkedIn banner. She said "No thank you, that sounds too time consuming."
So I made a video to show her it isn't, and I'm also sharing it with you :)
What is in the video?
Three versions, built from the same photo:
The straightforward one. Your brand color, your headshot, your message.
The cutout. Background removed, with the one setting that keeps you from looking like you are floating.
The duotone. The version that stops looking like a template.
Plus where to find the right canvas size in Canva, and the one spot on your banner you should never put anything, because your profile photo covers it.

A note from the other side of the camera
Every one of these works better when the photo underneath is good. Room around your head so it can be cropped. Even light so the background remover has clean edges. Clothing that reads at thumbnail size.
That is the part I am thinking about during a corporate headshot session. The banner is easy. The photo is the part worth getting right.
